Etherpad allows you to collaborate in real-time with others on a text document on the web. While other apps such as Google docs also allows this, EtherPad allows you to see the changes instantaneously. Very cool stuff. But what I like about it is that I can now provide a remote student a timed writing assignment and literally watch them compose their thoughts on paper. What a great way to gain insight into the student’s writing process!
